A spray tan typically lasts 5-10 days with proper aftercare. The longevity depends on your skin type, how well you prepare before your appointment, and how you care for your skin afterward. The results of a good spray tan are 50% application and 50% post maintenance. Team work makes the dream work.
- Exfoliate your skin thoroughly 24 hours before your appointment.
- Avoid lotions, oils, deodorants, and makeup on the day of your tan.
- Shaving, wax, nails, botox, threading or any other beauty services should be done prior to your session. Typically at least 24 hours before.
When you book your appointment you will receive info on what to wear, how to prep your skin and directions to the studio. I always recommend loose, dark clothing. Long sleeve and long loose pj pants is best. Tight clothing can rub against your fresh tan and cause streaks. No bras or restricting items that may rub the tan off. No socks or tennis shoes. Stick with sandals or flip flops.
Some bronzers can transfer to clothing or bedding while your tan develops. It usually washes out easily, but wearing darker clothing and using older sheets is recommended.
You will be given a specific rinse time that is customized to your skins type and tones to prevent over processing. Times typically range from 4-12hrs post session, but your tan will continue developing for 24hrs after session. A soap shower is done at your 24hr mark, where you will begin applying lotions as well.

My spray tan solutions are made with high-quality, skin-nourishing ingredients and DHA (a sugar-derived tanning agent) that is FDA-approved for external use.
No. A spray tan does not provide UV protection. Always wear sunscreen when spending time outdoors. (Avoid alcohol based/aerosole sunscreens when spray tanned, alcohol will strip the tan)
Many pregnant women choose to get spray tans, but we always recommend consulting with your doctor first.
- Moisturize daily with a gentle, hydrating lotion.
- Avoid long hot showers, baths, or chlorine pools.
- Pat dry after showering instead of rubbing.
- Use petroleum oil free/sulfate-free alcohol free body wash/shower gel to protect your color.
